Alloy in coated rods form in accordance to ISO 17672 Ag156 (L-Ag56Sn), melting range 620 – 655°C, working temperature 650°C. armack brazing alloy AS56 is a high-silver containing brazing alloy with excellent mechanical qualities. It is suitable for soldering joints between steel, stainless steel, nickel and nickel alloys, copper and copper alloys, hard metals as well as for joints between the materials mentioned above amongst themselves. It is particularly used for seawater-resistant non-ferrous heavy metal alloys (corrosion resistant), in the food industry and in high vacuum technology (high capillary action). It is suitable for soldering joints at an operating temperature of about 200°C. PZH approval.
