armack Lead-Free Soft Soldering Paste for Copper Pipes LF No. 3
This lead-free soft soldering paste, colloquially known as tin paste for copper soldering, is designed for the soft soldering of copper pipes and fittings in hot and cold drinking water installations, as well as central heating (CH) systems with operating temperatures up to 110ºC. The paste is intended for use with lead-free soft solder No. 3 (composition Sn97Cu3).
LF No. 3 Paste is a mixture of micro-granular solder powder S-Sn97Cu3 (97% tin; 3% copper) in accordance with DIN EN 29453 and flux in accordance with DIN EN 29454-1 3.1.1.C (F-SW 21), the residues of which are fully water-soluble.

The paste is supplied with a brush (provided separately).
Instructions for use:
- Clean the end of the pipe using a non-metallic cleaning fleece (cleaning pad).
- Apply a thin layer of paste to the cleaned pipe end, and then insert the pipe fully into the fitting socket.
- Heat the fitting evenly until the gray paste begins to turn into tin. The solder applied to the edge of the socket should melt freely and form a visible, continuous ring.
- Crucial step: After soldering is complete, it is absolutely necessary to wipe off any flux residues with a damp cloth and flush the installation with water in accordance with local regulations.
Removing flux residues after soldering prevents the formation of green blooms, which result from the reaction of flux/salt residues with copper. This effectively prevents issues with pitting corrosion.
