armack Soft Solder No. 3 Sn97Cu3 2.5 mm 250g – Copper Soldering Tin
S-Sn97Cu3 (L-Sn97Cu3) according to DIN EN 29453. A lead-free solid wire solder used for the soft soldering of copper and its alloys in conjunction with CWK, C66, FT soft soldering fluxes, and LF No. 3 paste. When combined with the armack ALU33 soft soldering flux, this solder is also suitable for soft soldering aluminum.
Designed for installation technology, this soldering tin is intended for the soft soldering of copper pipes and fittings in hot and cold potable (drinking) water systems in accordance with DVGW worksheets GW 2 and GW 7. The solder is most commonly used alongside the tin-bearing armack LF No. 3 soft soldering paste.
Proper application: The solder is applied to the edge of the evenly heated joint. According to best practices, the solder must melt from the heat of the base material itself, forming a distinct, continuous ring—the solder seam.
Crucial step: A properly executed joint must always be cleaned of any flux residues immediately after soldering. This effectively prevents the formation of blooms and subsequent corrosion.
Technical Specifications:
- Melting temperature range: 230ºC - 250ºC
- Certification: PZH, DVGW-compliant
For soft soldering, we highly recommend using premium torches by EXPRESS.
