armack Zinc Soldering Fluid ZWN – Soldering Water
Flux according to DIN EN 29454-1 3.2.2A (F-SW 11), designed for use in combination with armack S-Sn60Pb40 (LC60) or S-Sn50Pb50 (LC50) soldering tin. It is intended for the soft soldering of galvanized steel sheets, technically pure zinc, and titanium zinc. Widely used in roofing and sheet metal work for soldering gutters, hopper heads, roofing made of galvanized sheet or titanium zinc, and parapet flashings.
The ZWN soft soldering fluid, also known as soldering water, excellently dissolves oxides without leaving stains or damaging the zinc, thereby fully preserving its corrosion resistance.
Important: When soldering sheets covered with graphite or grey-blue patina, the armack Patina Remover must be applied first.
Instructions for use:
- Apply the fluid using brushes designed for soldering liquids and pastes.
- Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned of oils and dust. The overlap (the soldering seam) should be 10 - 15 mm.
- Wipe off any flux residues remaining after soldering with a damp cloth.
Recommended Tools: Depending on working conditions, use soldering irons – specifically roofing soldering irons – of appropriate power, equipped with a hammer-shaped or pointed copper bit. This ensures the correct operating temperature is consistently maintained.
Safety Notes:
- For professional use only.
- Remember to store chemical products out of the reach of children, in properly labeled packaging.
