armack CWK Soft Soldering Fluid for Copper – Soldering Water
Flux according to DIN EN 29454-1 3.1.1.A (F-SW 21), designed for use in combination with armack Sn97Cu3 (LC97) soldering tin. It is intended for the soft soldering of copper and copper alloys in roofing and sheet metal work, specifically for soldering gutters, hopper heads, roofing panels, and parapet flashings.
The CWK fluid enables fast and reliable soldering through excellent flow and superior wetting of the joined surfaces. Soldering water has a significant advantage over soldering acid: it does not leave stains and does not damage a delicate material like copper, fully preserving its corrosion resistance.
Instructions for use:
- Apply the fluid using brushes designed for soldering liquids and pastes.
- Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned of oils and dust. The overlap (the soldering seam) should be 10 - 15 mm.
- Wipe off any flux residues remaining after soldering with a damp cloth.
Tools and Maintenance:
Depending on working conditions, use soldering irons – specifically roofing soldering irons – of appropriate power, equipped with a hammer-shaped or pointed copper bit. This ensures the correct operating temperature is consistently maintained.
It is essential to properly care for the soldering bit. This improves working conditions and heating efficiency, while also guaranteeing that there are no inclusions in the solder joint. This maintenance is performed using a sal ammoniac block (salmiak).
Important Notes:
- For professional use only. Remember to store chemical products out of the reach of children, in properly labeled packaging.
- Certification: PZH.
- Remember: According to best practices, copper elements should always be soldered with armack Sn97Cu3 (LC97) tin, which guarantees the long-term durability of the joint and excellent tear resistance.
