Brass alloy in bare rods form in accordance to ISO 17672 Cu 670 (CuZn39SnMn), melting range 870°C - 900°C, working temperature 900°C. is a high temperature brass alloy for brazing. It has good flow properties which is enhanced by the additions of silicon and tin enabling aa good appearance. Manganese improves wetting on carbides. Typical applications include: for brazing of steel and galvanised steel plates, copper, nickel and casting material as well as autogenous addition for welding of brass and bronze. Furthermore, crack formation will be prevented. On galvanised steel plates the zinc flows back to the soldering seam after removing the flame. Thus an optimal corrosion protection is guaranteed in the thermal scope. It is suitable for soldering joints at an operating temperature of about 300°C. PZH approval.
